I died today at 91.

I came to the end of my journey.  Please don’t cry for me.

My life was filled with love, with sorrow, and some regrets

I had family and friends that loved me and cared for me

But there were those who knew me, forgot me, and turned their back on me.

Please don’t bring me flowers. Please don’t cry for me.

Please don’t hold my hand and tell me you love me

Please don’t cry for me.

Please don’t tell me you’ll miss me. I don’t want tears.

If you loved me that much—WHY? — did you wait till I was gone.

There was a time I needed you

But TODAY I’m gone.

MANUEL VELASCO. Passed away on January 18, 2019.  In El Paso TX, He is survived by His beloved children Luis, Gloria and Josie Velasco. He preceded in death by his beloved wife Adela B. de Velasco and daughter Bertha Alicia Peña.
